3rd Annual ‘Grille It Up’ Saturday in Dexter


The 3rd Annual ‘Grille It Up’ is Saturday starting at 8am at the East City Park! There will be a car show, cook off and mud volleyball tournament! There will also be bounce houses, mechanical bull, live music, beer garden, craft vendors, event vendors, helicopter rides, food and much more! Dexter Dash & Splash 5K Run/Walk on Friday, July 13th


Grille It Up kicks off Friday night, July 13th, with the Dash and Splash 5K at 6 p.m. at East Park in Dexter. The event, which includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk, will help kick off the Dexter Parks and Recreation Department’s “Grille It Up” and will raise funds for the Student Success Fund at Three Rivers College – Dexter. Following the run/walk, participants and their children can lounge in the city pool until 7:30 p.m. Strollers are welcome in the run/walk! If you want to participate without breaking a sweat, sign up as a “virtual runner.” Registration fee for the 5K run/walk, 1-mile walk, or virtual runner is $25. The race begins at 6 p.m.; same day registration begins at 5 p.m.

Missouri Legislature Passes Public Sector Union Bill


The Missouri State Legislature passes House Bill 1413, a proposal approved to alter regulations on public-sector labor unions. The legislation now heads to the governor’s desk for his considerations.

Bud Shell Ford Fundraiser for Relay for Life


Bud Shell Ford in Dexter will be working with the Stoddard County Relay for Life Friday with a fundraiser with Lincoln Motor Company. Test drive new Lincoln vehicles and the company will donate $20 per test drive!

Parma First Baptist Church to host Priscilla Shirer Simulcast
