VFW Hale Swinger Post 2659 Fish Fry Friday 5pm

Dexter VFW Hale Swinger Fish Fry will be held on Friday August 2. Fish will be served from 5pm to 8pm with activities including: an indoor dice run, a gun raffle starting at 8pm with a chance to win a Ruger P90 Auto 45, a Silent Auction with bidding closing at 8pm, 50/50 Drawings, Karaoke starting at 8 pm, and Entertainment from 6pm to 8pm By Bronic Adams. Any and all donations are appreciated! All proceeds to benefit the Dexter VFW general fund.

Bootheel Youth Museum Apollo 11 Celebration & Sun, Earth, Universe Exhibit

The Bootheel Youth Museum in Malden celebrated the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the lunar landing with an ice cream social and unveiling of its new exhivit ‘Sun, Earth, Universe.’ YHC was on hand and spoke with a few organizers of the exhibit from the NISE Network and local Mitch Green about Malden’s local ties to the NASA program. Also, Jacob Heck hosted the Defining Gravity Science Show!

Future Interstate 57 Unveiling in Dexter

Missouri and Arkansas legislators and organizers gathered at the First Baptist Fellowship Hall in Dexter, MO on February 22nd, 2019 to unveil the future Interstate 57 corridor that will turn U.S. Highway 60 into the interstate and connect Little Rock to Poplar Bluff as well. Eventually, Interstate 57 will connect Dallas to Chicago passing through Arkansas and Missouri. Featured speakers include:
